Ocean Dale

Ocean Dale was founded in 122 ARS.  Being the only easily accessable location on the island, it quickly grew into one of the most prosperous cities in existance.  With no ifficial government, the Merchants Guild quickly took the reigns of leadership.  Most of Ocean Dale's rulers have been greedy, allowing corruption to take root at all levels.  In more recent years the Merchant Guild has come under the leadership of Saala Fairchild, unlike her predicessors, she has proven to be a fair leader.  Under her rule, Ocean Dale has become a much safer place to live.

Import Docks: Nearly all of Arcanum's imports come through these docks.  From sunup to sundown, these docks see a steady stream of imports.

Traders Docks:  These two colossal docks are a hive of activity at all times of the day and night.  At any time there are thirty or more ships moored at these docks.

Poor Man's District:  This district consists of the majority of the poor housing and less reputable taverns & inns.  Wise men stay away from this portion of the city at night.

The Median:  This district consists of roughly half of Ocean Dale.  Most of Ocean Dale's population resides in this area.  This district is scattered with Inns, Taverns, Markets, and nearly any other kind of business one can immagine.

Warehouse District:  This district is primarily warehouses to hold the staggering ammount of goods coming in and out of Ocean Dale.

Merchant's District:  Only the richest among Ocean Dale's population even dream of living in the sprawling estates that make up this district.  The Merchant's Guild resides here.

Private Docks:  Only the richest or most desprate are willing to pay the fees required to use these docks.  In spite of the cost, there are always a hand full of ships making use of these docks.
