Inquisitor Archetype: Bastion

Serving the faith by hunting down its enemies is the purpose of the Inquisitor. Though some forego some of the guile attributed to their calling in favor of being better suited to withstand what their quarry throws at them and emerge victorious in battle. Clerics often call them Bastions, as they are as dedicated as any Paladin, but are often more concerned with protecting the faith than being righteous.

Class Features Modifications

Class Skills: Same as Inquisitor.

Weapon and Armor Proficiencies: Bastions gain Heavy Armor Proficiency and Heavy Shield Proficiency. Bastions tend to wear bulkier and more protective gear as they are expecting to meet the enemies of their faith everywhere. This replaces Stern Gaze.

Cunning Grace: At 2nd level Bastions add their wisdom modifier (if any) to all their saving throws. This replaces Cunning Initiative.

Resolute Crusader: Bastions at 3rd level gain the Diehard feat and Proficiency in Tower Shields. This Replaces Solo Tactics.

Bonus Feat: At 3rd and ever three levels after (6th, 9th, etc.) Bastions may choose a bonus feat from the selected list. Iron Will, Lightning Relexes, Great Fortitude, Toughness, Shield Focus, Missile Shield, Focused Discipline, and Dodge. This replaces the Teamwork feats.

Spell Resistance: At 5th level. Bastions learn to endure the most dangerous ability of their foes, magic. By faith, purpose, and grit, they learn to overcome it's affects to serve their faith. The gain spell resistance equal to 10 + their class level. This ability is always active and must be mentally supressed to allow for "benefitial magic" to take affect normally. This ability replaces Bane and Greater Bane.

Author's Note: When I read that Inquisitors essentially got mettle and after reading over the Stalwart Defender, I somewhat merged the the two to come up with more of a "hard to kill" or  "terminator" type Inquisitor. The focus is on defense and surviving, so I think they can make for a good tank, even if they sacrafice some damage.
