Many bards make a living as fortune tellers and spiritual mediums. These bards do not have arcane abilities, but instead train in the psionic arts.
Class Features Modifications
Skills: A psychic medium receives Autohypnosis (Wis) as a class skill, but loses Acrobatics.
Psychic Aptitude: A psychic medium gains a bonus equal to half his level on all Autohypnosis and Knowledge (psionics) check, as well as on Spellcraft and Use Magic Device checks to identify psionic powers or use psionic items. This ability replaces bardic knowledge
Spells: Unlike other bards, psychic mediums do not cast spells.
Power Points/Day: A psychic medium's ability to manifest powers is limited by the power points he has available. His base daily allotment of power points is given on the table below. In addition, he receives bonus power points per day if he has a high Charisma score (as determined via the core psionics rules). His race may also provide bonus power points per day, as may certain feats and items.
Powers Known: A psychic medium begins play knowing one psychic medium power of your choice. Each time he achieves a new level, he unlocks the knowledge of a new power.
Choose the powers known from the psychic medium power list (below). A psychic medium can manifest any power that has a power point cost equal to or lower than his manifester level.
The total number of powers a psychic medium can manifest in a day is limited only by his daily power points.
A psychic medium simply knows his powers; they are ingrained in his mind. He does not need to prepare them (in the way that some spellcasters prepare their spells), though he must get a good night’s sleep each day to regain all his spent power points.
The Difficulty Class for saving throws against psychic medium powers is 10 + the power’s level + the psychic medium’s Charisma modifier.
Maximum Power Level Known: A psychic medium begins play with the ability to learn 1st-level powers. As he attains higher levels, he may gain the ability to master more complex powers.
To learn or manifest a power, a psychic medium must have a Charisma score of at least 10 + the power’s level.

Psychic Medium Powers: A psychic medium may select clairsentience and telepathy powers from the Psion/Wilder power list—including powers exclusive to seers and/or telepaths. Powers are described in the core psionics rules. Gamemasters may choose to expand this list with additional clairsentience and telepathy powers from other sources.
Author's Note: This archetype was formerly known as Soothsayer. The name was changed to reflect that this is an overhaul of that archetype, as well as to better represent its role among other bards.
