Levels of Eldritch Knight improve your familiar.

Benefit
For purposes of determining the abilities of your familiar, levels of  Eldritch Knight that increase your caster level stack with those of your previous  familiar-granting class.  For example, with this feat the familiar of a Wizard 5/Fighter 1/Eldritch Knight 2 would gain the same level of ability as that of a straight Wizard 6.

In addition, your familiar gains a +1 dodge bonus to AC from training with you.

If you have multiple familiars, this feat applies only to one of them.   You may take this feat multiple times; the effects do not stack, but  apply to a separate familiar each time.  If one such familiar dies and is replaced, the new familiar gains the benefit of this feat.

This feat may be selected as a bonus combat feat at Eldritch Knight levels 1, 5, or 9.
