Zen Cleave
Realizing they are on the brink of death, your enemy utters words of confession.
Prerequisites
Wisdom 13, Base attack bonus +6, power attack, cleave, weapon focus
Benefit
When you reduce a conscious foe’s hit points low enough to kill them with a single melee attack, you may ask them a number of questions as per the Speak with Dead spell as if you were a cleric of your current character level. A zen cleaved foe is considered dead for the purposes of spell effects and cannot be healed or saved in any way, nor can they take any actions. A character can use this feat a number of times per day equal to their wisdom modifier. When all questions are answered, the opponent becomes an inanimate corpse. At the GM’s discretion, a zen cleaved foe may say a few words to be remembered by, be they curses or last requests.
Author's Note: This feat was inspired by the manga Lone Wolf and Cub, the story of a disgraced samurai and his toddler son and their bloody road to revenge.
