When you are using your Sword and Shield together in combat you are better able to go on the offensive.
Prerequisites
7th Level Fighter

Benefit
If you begin your turn with a shield donned and on your turn you take the full attack action with the shield donned and a one handed weapon in the other hand you gain a +1 bonus on all attack and damage rolls. This benefit only occurs when fighting on the ground (not mounted or flying). This bonus increases to +2 at 10th Level, +3 at 14th Level and finally +4 at 19th Level.

Normal
You do not gain any extra bonuses to attack and damage rolls with a shield and taking a full attack action.

Special
If you also have the Footman Feat the dodge bonus from Footman is increased to +2 when you take this feat.
