When you are using your Sword and Shield together while mounted in combat you are better able to go on the offensive.

Prerequisites
7th-level-fighter, Mounted Combat, Ride 7 Ranks

Benefit
If you begin your turn mounted with a shield donned, a one handed weapon in the other hand (a Lance is treated as a one handed weapon for the purposes of this feat), and on your turn you take the full attack action or the charge action you gain a +1 bonus on all attack and damage rolls. This benefit only occurs when fighting mounted and on the ground (not flying). This bonus increases to +2 at 10th Level, +3 at 14th Level and finally +4 at 19th Level.

Normal
You do not gain any extra bonuses to attack and damage rolls with a shield and taking a full attack or charge action while mounted.

Special
If you also have the Horseman Feat the dodge bonus from Horseman is increased to +2 when you take this feat.
