You can use your shield to hide from deadly area attacks.

Prerequisites
Shield Focus, Lightning Reflexes, Fighter 9

Benefit
While you are wielding a shield and isn't flat-footed or surprised, you gain the evasion ability. You can add your shield bonus (including enhancement bonuses) to your reflex save to avoid area of effect attacks. If you use your shield in this way the shield suffers damage as if subjected to the area of effect attack. If the shield is destroyed from this damage the remaining damage from the attack will affect you normally.

Special
If you already have the evasion ability from a class feature or other source you gain improved evasion while using this feat.
