Benefit
During your turn, after you have taken a Standard Action, if you forego a Move Action you automatically ready an action to try to counter any single spell cast after your turn but before your next turn (forgoing a Move Action still allows you a 5 ft. step). You do not need to declare that you are readying an action nor do you need to declare a target for the counterspell. In order to counter the spell, you must also meet the spell requirements as outlined in the rules regarding counterspelling.

Normal
You need to declare a target and ready a counterspell as a Standard Action in order to counter a spell being cast.
