Rib of Vengeance

The assassin stood there, looking in shock at the dead cleric below her. "I did it! I have finally gained revenge for my family you monster!" Turning from her victim, she filled with a joy and sadness all at once. Quickly this turned to fear as she heard the cough behind her. "Foolish girl! Did you think I would die so easily as to your blade?" Vlorak still lived! She had failed! Spinning to face her foe she grit her teeth and cursed the necromancer. What did she have to fear though? She had taken all his weapons out of his reach before the attempt. He had just gone to sleep, she had to hope to all that was good he had few to no spells left in him. She was never prepared for how he would kill her. She will never pass on because of her rage.

With a scream Vlorak plunged his undead hand into his own side, tearing forth one of his own ribs! Lunging for her, she found herself frozen in terror, Vlorak plunged his own rib into her throught. "You can find peace now little one. Come, now you can join your parents. Welcome my child! Now you can learn what it truly means to have a family." Gasping and bleeding, she fell to her knees, and for the last time saw the world with living eyes. The negative energy that flowed into her tainted her very soul! The ghost that emerged from her corpse was the epitome of every hateful and fearful aspect she ever experienced.

Vlorak grinned and pulled his rib out of her throat. With a wave of his hand he filled his body with the Abyss and recovered himself from her attempted assassination. "Foolish girl. I have mastered death, what made you think you could use it against me?"

Looking at the bone now severed from his body, evil ideas danced amongst is thoughts. Attaching the bone to a blackened chain he wore the rib with pride and power!
