Truly there have been many mythical warriors throughout all time. From stealthy assassins, to servants of gods, to mighty knights. Truly all are great, but some of the greatest were the champions known as Sword Thanes. Warriors of un-matched bravery and skill, they constantly look for new challenges to keep their skills sharp and weapon bloodied. Remember, no all legends are Sword Thanes, but all Sword Thanes are legends.

Requirements
- Alignment: While most tend to stand by self-imposed strict codes, a Sword Thane is more often Lawful, though they can be of any alignment.
- Skills: Survival 4
- Base Attack Bonus: +5
- Feats: Weapon Focus, Endurance, Diehard
- Special: Must have done something to become subject of widespread tales and rumors.

Acrobatics(Dex), Climb(Str), Handle Animal(Cha), Intimidate(Cha), Perception(Wis), Ride(Dex), Sense Motive(Wis), Survival(Wis), Swim(Str)Skill Ranks Per Level: 4 + Int modifier.

Class Features
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Sword Thanes are proficient with all Non-Exotic weapons, as well as Light, Medium and Heavy armor, including all shields (Except Tower Shields)Legend: At 1st level, a Sword Thane gains an ability that makes him truly special. Once chosen, he can not change his Legend. At 4th and 8th level, he may pick an additional Legend.
Invincible: A Sword Thane with this Legend is well known for being hardier then other warriors. If he is wearing Medium Amour, he gains a +1 Insight Bonus to AC. If he is wearing Light Amour, this increases to +2. Finally, if he is wearing no Armor, the AC bonus is +3. At 7th Level, all bonuses increase by +1 (But he still gains no bonus if in Heavy Armor).
Slayer: Word has spread about this Sword Thane being able to defeat enemies much larger then himself. When fighting a creature one size category larger then himself, the Sword Thane gains a +2 Insight Bonus on Attack and Damage rolls. For each size category larger it is past the first, this bonus increases by +1. At 7th level the total bonus is increased by +1.
Mounted Champion: When mounted you are a force to be reckoned with. after making a successful mounted Charge attack, make a free Trip combat maneuver against the target of the attack. At 4th level, when making a Trip in this way you gain a +4 circumstance bonus.
Improved Save: You have an incredible will, you can react quickly or you just have more endurance then most people. Either way, you're known for it. Pick one Save. You gain a +2 Insight Bonus on that save. At 4th level this bonus increases to +3.
Decapitator: You can lob off the head of your enemy in a single swipe. Once per day you may grant a weapon you're wielding the Vorpal quality for one round when you use it to attack. You must choose to use this Legend before the attack roll is made. At 7th level you may use this 2/day. A Sword Thane must be 4th Level before selecting this Legend.
The Fastest: The Sword Thane's speed is the stuff of myths. Increase your base land speed by 5ft. At 4th Level this increases to 10ft. This extra speed in not effected by armor.
Mage Hunter: No Spellcaster can cast when you're nearby. The Sword Thane gains the Disruptive feat. at 4th level he gains the Spellbreaker feat. Finally, at 7th level he gains Teleport Tactician as a bonus feat.
Second Wind: Even when the outlook is hopeless, he returns to battle stronger then ever. This Legend can only be used when the Sword Thane has negative hit points, and only 1/Day. Roll 2d12. The Sword Thane gains that many temporary Hit Points. In addition, he ignores all sickened, nauseated, fatigued, exhausted, Stunned and Staggered conditions that he had before using this Legend. The effects of this Legend last for a number around equal to the character's Sword Thane levels. At 7th Level the dice rolled for temporary Hit Points increase to 3d10.
Final Blow: With the last of his strength, the Sword Thane can strike down even the strongest of foes. This can only be used after the Second Wind Legend has been activated. When the Sword Thane takes an attack action, he may use this Legend. He must declare he is using it before the attack roll is made. If the attack hits, the Sword Thane deals extra damage equal to the number of temporary hit points gained from Second Wind. All remaining temporary hit points gained from Second Wind are lost at the end of this attack. At 7th Level, the Sword Thane may take a withdraw action at the end of the attack, before the Hit Points are lost.
Fearless: The Sword Thane is brave in the face of any odds. He gains a +4 bonus on saving throws against fear. At 4th level this increases to +8
Incredible Skill: In a moment of truth, the Sword Thane can accomplish tasks many would believe to be impossible. 1/Day the Sword Thane can choose to increase his bonus on one skill by +20 for one round. This must be a class skill. At 4th Level he may use this 3/Day.
Favored Enemy: This functions as the Ranger class ability same name, except he can never gain more favored enemies and instead of increasing the bonus at 5th level, it increases at 7th level. If the Sword Thane has levels in a class that gives Favored Enemy, he can choose to have his Sword Thane levels stack with it for the purpose of more favored enemies and bonuses.
Challenge: This functions as the Cavalier class ability of the same name. If the Sword Thane has levels in a class that grants Challenge, he can choose to have his Sword Thane levels stack with it.
Divine Servant: The Sword Thane shares a close connection with his god. He may choose one Cleric Domain and gain all benefits from it except bonus spells known and domain spell slots, unless he is a Divine Spellcaster. If the Sword Thane already has a domain, he can either choose a new one or to have his Sword Thane levels stack with one of his domains.
Giant Wielder: The Sword Thane is an expert at wielding large weapons. He may use a weapon on size category larger then his own size at a -2 penalty to attack rolls. At 7th Level, he no longer suffers this penalty.
Well Known: At 2nd level, the Sword Thane becomes famous. When being tracked through any towns, the tracker of the Sword Thane gains a bonus equal the Sword Thane’s level. This bonus also applies when someone tries to Gather Information about the Sword Thane.
Combat Feat: At 3rd level and every three thereafter, the Sword Thane gains a bonus Combat Feat.
Mythic: At 10th level the Sword Thane can choose a Myth. A Myth elevates the character’s status of legend to that of stories spoken of for generations. He will be remembered long after his death.
Magical Apathy: The Sword Thane lacks anything magical about him. This apathy makes him more resistant to magical attacks. He gains a Spell Resistance of 10 + Character Level. In order to choose this Myth, the Sword Thane can not have any levels in any spell casting classes. He also can not choose the “Divine Servant” Legend.
Blood of Giants: Somewhere in his bloodline, a giant contaminated his family. While it normally just manifests as your ancestors being larger then normal folk, it came out strong in you with a growth spurt. Increase your size by one category and gain all associated bonuses.
Demi-God: In recognition of your triumphs the gods have gifted you with great powers. Choose three ability scores. Gain a +2 racial modifier in two of them, and a +4 racial modifier in the last one. The Character also becomes immune to all sickness and disease (Including magical ones). Finally, the Sword Thane stops aging. If he ever changes alignments all of these bonuses are lost permanently.
Force of Nature: This functions as the Barbarian Greater Rage Class feature. The Sword Thane may also choose two rage powers he qualifies for. If the Sword Thane has levels in a class that grants Rage, his levels in Sword Thane stack with it for the purposes of Rage Rounds. If not, he uses his Sword Thane levels as Barbarian levels.
