Class Features
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Nightsuns gain no proficiency with any weapon or armor.Spells: At the indicated levels, a nightsun gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level in a divine spellcasting class he belonged to before he added the prestige class. He does not, however, gain other benefits a character of that class would have gained, except for additional spells per day, spells known (if he is a spontaneous caster), and an increased effective level of spellcasting. If a character had more than one divine spellcasting class before becoming a nightsun, he must decide to which class he adds the new level for purposes of determining spells per day.
Low-Light Vision (Ex): At 1st level, a Nightsun gains the ability to see twice as far as a human can in dim light.
Favored Enemy (Undead) (Ex): At 1st level, a Nightsun gains the favored enemy class ability against undead creatures. He gains a +2 bonus on Bluff, Knowledge, Perception, Sense Motive, and Survival checks when using these skills against undead. Likewise, he gets a +2 bonus on weapon damage rolls against such creatures. If the character already possesses this ability from another class, he gets an additional +2 bonus to the existing ability.
Channel Energy (Su): At 2nd and 4th level, a Nightsun increases his ability to channel positive energy as if he had gained a level in the class that originally granted him the channeling ability.
Ghost Touch (Su): At 3rd level, as a free action, a Nightsun is able to imbue his weapon with the ghost touch weapon property for one round. You must declare that you are using this ability before you make your attack roll (thus, a failed attack ruins the attempt). A ghost touch weapon deals damage normally against incorporeal creatures (an incorporeal creature’s 50% chance to avoid damage does not apply to attacks with ghost touch weapons). The weapon itself does not become incorporeal, nor can an incorporeal creature use the weapon. Bows, crossbows, and slings so imbued bestow this power upon their ammunition. A nightsun can use this ability a number of times per day equal to his class level plus his Charisma modifier.
Improved Low-Light Vision (Ex): At 4th level, a Nightsun gains the ability to see four times as far as a human can in dim light.
Rest In Peace (Su): At 5th level, as a free action, a Nightsun is able to imbue his weapon with the disruption property. You must declare that you are using this feat before you make your attack roll (thus, a failed attack ruins the attempt). Any undead creature struck in combat must succeed a Will save (DC 10 + class level + Charisma modifier) or be destroyed. Bows, crossbows, and slings so imbued bestow the disruption power upon their ammunition. A nightsun can use this ability a number of times per day equal to his class level plus his Charisma modifier. This ability can be used in conjunction with the ghost touch ability (both can be declared during the same free action).
Author's Note: This was ported from a homebrew D&D game I was running; it seemed to fit well with Sarenrae.
