Continuing on the Sesame Street builds, I bring you the Elmin, obviously built off of Elmo.
Every city and land has one; an intoxicatingly happy district full of these little red balls of fluff. Elmin sing, dance, laugh, and try to see the good in everything they encounter. An Elmin will always refer to itself in third person.
Physical Description: Having the same height range as gnomes, Elmin are covered in thick, vibrant red hair and have a large nose which serves as their main method of sensory input. They are toothless omnivores, are surprisingly agile yet very weak.
Society: Whilst rich in their own culture, Elmin embody the virtue of sharing, and will immerse themselves in the company of any who will allow it. They bond well, often have fairs, parties and parades and will attempt to involve everything and everyone in the fun.
Relations: Very loving, Elmin will attempt to get on well with everything; though often finalise a life partner of either their own kind or of the gnomes in their old age. Half-Gnomes, only producible through Elmin, take on no traits other than the thick red hair of their Elmin parentage.
Alignment and Religion: Elmin find it very difficult to be anything other than kind and happy, and therefore all are good. Their religious devotion varies, from including the Gods in every aspect of their lives to happily assuming that they're pleasing somebody up there.
Adventurers: Like Gnomes, Elmin suffer from The Bleaching instead of traditional ageing, and thus must maintain happy and active lifestyles in order to stay young. This encourages many Elmin adventurers, who can be found roaming in packs of their own kind or a friends of the big-people.
Male Names: Elmo, Fidel, Crispy, Patrick
Female Names: Elma, Priya, Mabel, Penguin
Elmin Racial Traits
+2 Dexterity, +2 Charisma, -2 Strength: While agile and welcoming, Elmin lack physical strength.
Small: Elmin are Small creatures and gain a +1 size bonus to their AC, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, a –1 penalty to their Combat Maneuver Bonus and Combat Maneuver Defense, and a +4 size bonus on Stealth checks.
Average Speed: Elmin move 30ft/pr.
Infectious Personality: Despite not being Half-Elves, Elmin gain the feat Sociable as a bonus starting feat. On top of this, they gain +2 to all diplomacy checks.
Honest yet Hearty: An Elmin can never lie to someone who does not deserve to be lied to, nor does it take itself too seriously.
Tremor-sense: Due to their bulbous and nerve-filled noses, Elmin can detect vibrations and movement up to 60ft away.
Armour Familiarity: Elmin are familiar with all light armours, though prefer those which are decorated in bright colours.
Natural Entertainers: Elmin fain +2 on all Performance checks.
Languages: Elmin begin play knowing Common and Gnome, Elmin with high intelligence scores can learn any language that the Core Races can.
Author's Note: Here you go, the happy go lucky race based off of Elmo. If any race was more suited to being Bards, I have yet to see it.
