Looking like large upright rats, ratlings live a hidden existance among the races of the Darklands. Originally created when a few rats mistakenly interacted with the castoffs of Drow fleshwarping, they quickly developed a society of their own. Now they wander the Darklands in small bands, looking for the reason behind their creation, a reason that they know must be there somewhere.

Ratling Racial Traits

+2 Dexterity, +2 Wisdom, -2 Strength: Ratlings are quick and have great instincts, but they are weaker then other races.

Small Size: Ratlings are small creatures.

Normal Speed: Ratlings have a base land speed of 30 ft.

Darkvision: Ratlings can see in the dark up to 60 feet.

Keen Senses: Ratlings have very acute senses and get a +2 bonus to Perception checks.

Natural Athletes: Ratlings get a +2 racial bonus to Climb and Swim checks.

Natural Weapons: Ratlings have claws which they can use to inflict damage on the opponents. These claws inflict 1d4 plus their strength modifier damage

Languages: Ratling characters speak Common and Undercommon. Ratlings with high Intelligence scores can select from the following: Dwarven, Gnome, Halgling, Goblin, Orc and Terran.
