Summon Undead

Casting Time: 1 round
Components: V, S, F/DF (a tiny bag and a small candle)
Range: close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Effect: one summoned creature
Duration: 1 round/level (D)
Saving Throw: none

This spell summons a single creature of the undead type to do your bidding. The summoned creature can be of any undead subtype that you choose each time you cast the spell with a CR rating of 1/3 or lower. It appears where you designate and acts immediately, on your turn. It attacks your opponents to the best of its ability. If you can communicate with the creature, you can direct it not to attack, to attack particular enemies, or to perform other actions.
You must concentrate in order to maintain control of the summoned creature. This concentration requires a standard action each round. If you are unable to maintain this concentration or choose not to, you risk losing control of the summoned creature. On any round that you do not spend a standard action to maintain this control you risk a 50% chance for the summoned creature to break your control over it. If you lose control of the summoned creature it attacks you to the best of its ability for the duration of the spell. Once control of a summoned creature is lost in this way it cannot be regained.
The spell conjures only one creature and you can only have one creature summoned in this way at any time. Subsequent castings of this spell during the spell’s duration simply fail. You may dismiss a summoned creature that you control before the spell duration has expired as a standard action, ending the spell’s duration.
A summoned monster cannot summon or otherwise conjure another creature, nor can it use any teleportation or planar travel abilities. Creatures cannot be summoned into an environment that cannot support them. Creatures summoned using this spell cannot use spells or spell-like abilities that duplicate spells with expensive material components (such as wish). When you use a summoning spell to summon a creature with an alignment or elemental subtype, it is a spell of that type.
