The hardened adventurers had prepared well for the mad pyromancer’s fire attacks. They were caught just a bit off guard when his scorching rays came at them as lances of ice.

Alters one spell cast immediately afterward or targeted spell/spell effect already being cast or in effect to have the opposite or inverse effect of what it normally does or is doing. Elemental spells switch as follows, (fire/cold, acid/lightning, sonic/force, positive/negative). Buffs and debuffs are reversed as well. Ex: +4 bulls strength becomes -4 weakness. -4 penalty from symbol of pain becomes +4 for it’s duration.

When used on a spell from another caster, both roll opposed spellcraft checks to determine whether the spell is successfully inverted or not.

Spells that do not have a clear opposite effect and are inverted have an effect determined by the game master, not the player. Ex: when disintegrate becomes
integrate, what does integrating something does is up to the game master. Also, whether inverting a fire resist spell gives weakness to fire or resistance to ice is also up to the game master, thus the spell is somewhat unpredictable.

The material component of this spell is a pinch of ground mirror dust.

Author's Note: Ever since reading the books I always wanted to make a Harpell. I thought they were the coolest of wizards. I didn't create the origional Harpells though so it's not completely my idea.
