Luthvelian's Force Blade
Luthvelian was a wizard who eventually became an Eldritch Knight. Rather than most mages, who simply pick up a sword and armor, Luthvelian developed a line of spells intended to blend spell with combat.
Luthvelian’s Force Dagger
Luthvelian had spent weeks crafting the spell. He knew this was the moment of truth. Out of other magic, his last recourse was to fight the orc hand-to-hand. With a wave of his hand and sharp word a blade of force burst from his wand. As the orc looked in surprise at the wizard, he plunged the knife into its chest.School conjuration [force]; Level wizard 0
Casting Time Full-Round Action
Components V, S, F
Range Personal
Target/Effect/Area The caster’s wand
Duration 1 hour per level until discharged, 1 round per level, see text.
Saving Throw None; Spell Resistance yes, see text.
When cast, this spell imbues the caster’s wand with an energy that can be discharged at will, during the original duration, one hour per caster level. After it has been discharged a thin blade of force, functioning identically as a medium sized dagger, emanates from the tip of the wand. This dagger remains for one round per caster level. While using the dagger, the caster is considered to be armed, and in all ways using a dagger as normal. If the wand is removed from the caster’s hand for more than a number of rounds equal to his or her primary casting attribute, the spell ends (this should not be construed to mean that the spell’s normal duration can be extended by sheathing or otherwise removing the caster’s wand from his or her possession). Damage done by the dagger is force damage, either slashing or piercing as per usual for a dagger, and subject to DR as any normal weapon.
Focus: A wand, functioning either as a Wizard’s Arcane Bonded item, or with at least one charge.
Special: This spell may not be cast, but may be discharged while under the effects of Tenser’s Transformation. With a one time investment the spell can gain increased functionality. By spending 300gp on wand adornments (silver tracings, jewels, cosmetic changes only) the dagger summoned by this spell functions as a masterwork weapon. Similarly, another 300gp investment can cause the dagger to glow as the light spell. The decision to cause the dagger to glow must be made when the spell is discharged, and cannot be changed for that casting after that point.
Luthvelian’s Force Blade
After several months of revisiting the spell in his spare time, Luthvelian had reinforced the latticework binding the force energies. He had also improved the spell’s capacity for enhancements.School conjuration [force]; Level wizard 2

This spell functions as Luthvelian’s Force Dagger, except instead of acting as a dagger, the spell functions as a short sword instead.
Focus: A wand, functioning either as a Wizard’s Arcane Bonded item, or with at least one charge.
Special: This spell may not be cast, but may be discharged while under the effects of Tenser’s Transformation. This blade can be improved in the same way as Luthvelian’s Force Dagger. If the wand used as a focus already was enhanced in that way, the caster can further enhance the blade. By investing a further 2,000gp in the wand, the sword summoned functions as a +1 weapon.
Luthvelian’s Force Sword
Luthvelian had grown to depend on his spell. Rather than just use his blade in dire straits, the mage had begun proactively attacking his foes, taking them off guard. As he improved upon his tool, so to did his fighting style improve.School conjuration [force]; Level wizard 4

The caster can further enhance the blade. By investing a further 7,000gp in the wand, the sword summoned functions as a +2 weapon. An additional 11,000gp can improve the blade to +3.
Luthvelian’s Force Katana
Luthvelian’s foes became increasingly resilient to physical blows, at least those he dealt. A wizard, Luthvelian hardly had time to train as much as he liked, though the fighter offered tips from time to time. He had incorporated swordcrafting techniques from the east, as well as advanced enhancements to the wand, producing a magical weapon of near-unparalleled quality to accommodate his waining skill.School conjuration [force]; Level wizard 6

Luthvelian’s Ultimate Weapon
Everything changed when Luthvelian began practicing with the Transformation spell. He had begun to spend nearly as much time studying as practicing with the fighter. He had begun to use the spellblade as a primary matter-of-course. The blade and he had become one. So his fighting style had evolved, and his blade achieved peak ability.School conjuration [force]; Level wizard 8
