The targeted creature shouts at the top of their lungs for the duration of their next turn - they cannot cast spells with Verbal components (unless using the Silent Spell metamagic feat), cannot speak or use any ability that involves speaking legibly, and automatically give themselves away when trying to use Stealth to move silently. They otherwise suffer any of the logical effects of shouting. Creatures who are unable to vocalize are immune to this spell's effects. Mute creatures (those who were once able to vocalize but no longer can) still attempt to scream, even though they can make no sound.
