Whistling Gnome Chaser

Developed by kobold sorcerers and named for the primary use of the spell, this evocation was intended to provide a distraction and herd gnomes into trapped areas. Kobolds traded knowledge of the spell to a gnome-hating wizard in exchange for the location of several gnome enclaves on the surface. Whistling gnome chaser creates a brightly flashing ball of fire anywhere within range that the caster can move about..

Whistling gnome chaser creates a brightly flashing ball of fire anywhere within range that the caster can move about at a speed of 60ft per round. The caster can direct the ball on his turn as a free action. When not being actively directed, the ball remains in place.  The ball strobes and spits sparks, shedding light as a torch and forcing any flammable object that shares the same space as the ball to make a Fortitude save or catch fire, burning as per the rules in the PFRPG. Creatures that occupy the same space as the ball must make two saves. The first is a Reflex save to avoid 1d4 points of fire damage. The second is a Fortitude save to avoid becoming deafened and blinded by the shrieking whistle and bright, flashing light for 1 round. Creatures subject to light blindness [orcs, duergar, etc.] take a -2 penalty on their saves against the blindness effect.
