This is an incredibly long spear over 10 feet long. Its great length makes it a more difficult weapon to wield than the simpler spear, and also incredibly unwieldy in close range. So long as an enemy is kept at bay, however, a pikeman has an enormous advantage.

Special
The pike has Reach that triples rather than doubles the natural reach of the wielder. This means that a Medium sized character that could normally only attack adjacent enemies can now strike opponents 15 feet away. Like other reach weapons a character cannot attack enemies that are closer than their reach, which is in the pike's case is within 10 feet of the character.
The pike also has Brace.
Author's Note: Pikes can be up to 20 feet long! Great pikes can strike opponents at increasing distances but are increasingly expensive and get more and more unwieldy in combat.
