A massive spear-like polearm. The weapon resembles a broad bladed longsword mounted to the end of a long wooden shaft. Two curved prongs extend from either side of the base of the blade like a cross guard.

The partisan is a weapon usually bestowed on the most hardy and elite soldiers. It requires special training to wield properly and is thus an Exotic Weapon. Also called a "bastard spear" in some regions, it adds strength to any phalanx and is the weapon of choice for many polearm masters.

Special: It grants a +1 when making attacks of opportunity.
