Hellschrecke Swarm

The sound of buzzing reaches your ears before you can begin to make out the forms in this huge cloud of swarming creatures.  Soon after the stench of sulfur fills your nostrils.  By the time you can see the beady eyes and massive mandibles of these hellish insects, it's far too late.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Cling (DC 22) (Ex) If a creature leaves a hellschrecke swarm's square, the swarm suffers 1d6 points of damage to reflect the loss of its numbers as several of the crawling pests continue to cling tenaciously to the victim. A creature with hellschreckes clinging to him takes 3d6 points of damage at the end of his turn each round. As a full-round action, he can remove the hellschreckes with a DC 22 Reflex save. High wind or  any amount of damage from an area effect destroys all clinging hellschrecke. The save DC is Dexterity-based.

Consume (Ex)
A hellschrecke swarm can rapidly consume any creature it swarms over. Against helpless or nauseated targets, a hellschrecke swarm attack deals 6d6 points of damage.

Distraction (DC 22)
(Ex) A creature with this ability can nauseate the creatures that it damages. Any living creature that takes damage from a creature with the distraction ability is nauseated for 1 round; a Fortitude save (DC 10 + 1/2 creature's HD + creature's Con modifier) negates the effect.

Each individual hellschrecke appears much like a toad-sized wasp, but instead of a venomous stinger, they wield two pairs of serrated jaws.  Their carapices are a dull rusty color with black bands around their joints.  Black, compound eyes perch atop their heads just behind their fierce mandibles.
