Serpent Oni
Sinuous and crafty, the serpent oni are more like raptors than most snakes, despite their name. Their yellow eyes are always darting left and right.

Spells: A serpent oni casts spells as a 7th-level sorcerer.
Serpent Oni are duplicitous and crafty. Next to the Tiger Oni, they are also the most magical. Their caste order has them just above the Tengu Oni, a position which they despise. As a group, they feel that they should be above the Ogre Oni, who they deem as brutish and stupid. The Serpent Oni serve primarily in the temples or as spies for the military, sometimes both. Serpent Oni are primarily female, outnumbering males 5 to 1. Males are generally smaller than females, though specific exceptions can be found.
Their faces are dominated by yellow eyes and a large square snout. The claws on their hands and feet appear formidable but are not very useful in combat. Their scales range in color from tan to brown to dark green, with mottled colors being rather common.
