SPECIAL ABILITIES
Staggered (Ex): Jiang Shi have poor reflexes and can only perform a single move action or standard action each round. A Jiang Shi can move up to its speed and attack in the same round as a charge action.Hopping (Ex): Jiang Shi hop to move and ignore movement penalties imposed by difficult terrain.
Sense Lifeforce (Ex): A Jiang Shi can exactly pinpoint the location of any living enemy within 30 feet. This does not apply to creatures that are not alive, such as constructs and undead.
Life Drain (Su): Any Jiang Shi that deals damage to an opponent also drains a small amount of that creature’s life force. Upon taking damage from a Jiang Shi’s slam attack, the target creature must make a DC 15 Fortitude save or take 2 point of Constitution damage. The save DC is Charisma based.
Jiang Shi are the animated corpses of those who died an unnatural death far from home. Their body stiff with rigor mortis, they hop slowly toward their homeland, taking detours only to replenish themselves by draining the life force of living creatures nearby. As long as they do this, they do not decompose. They can only move via continued small leaps, as their legs can no longer move gracefully enough for them to walk.
