Every part of this eerily beautiful woman - from her skin to hair to her long, flowing robes - is as white as fresh fallen snow, except for her eyes, which are a stark, striking red.

Yukionna are fey spirits of snowy mountain regions. They are fiercely territorial, and scare off any that encroach upon their territory with their frightening gaze; most tales of these snowy women come from those frightened away. A Yukionna will only enter direct combat with intruders if they do not retreat, and if the tide of the battle turns against her, she will turn into vapor and retreat, riding on the wind. Though solitary and territorial, some Yukionna occasionally take a liking to certain mountain travelers (usually young, pretty types, almost always male). If this is the case, after frightening them away, they will later disguise themselves as a mundane young woman and seek out the object of their affection in an attempt to strike up a courtship. If their true nature is ever discovered, however, they vanish into mist, returning to their home in the mountains, never to be seen again.
