Oni, Tengu

Before you stands what appears to be a man-like bird. Pitch-black feathers are visible underneath it's dark robes. Yet its most prominent feature are the two swords it so masterfully wields.

These are no normal tengu, but Oni, evil spirits bound to a corporeal life. As all Oni, Tengu are shapechangers and often use their ability to mimic human form as they form covens in the darker and seedier parts of large cities. They are far more common in Tian Xia, but many have come to the bigger cities of Avistan.
