Maleficent prefers to work through allies. She has several goblin tribes under her control and will send them to eliminate her enemies if she believes they can. Otherwise she will take the initiative, casting Mage Armor and Globe of Invulnerability and then use Form of the Dragon II to assume the form of a large Black Dragon which she attacks her opponents in. She will use Chain Lightning, Entangle, a Deep Slumber to neutralize the most powerful combatants and Blur and Displacement to prevent her enemies from hitting her.

Maleficent was born into wealth and privilege. That all changed when she was 16 with the Red Revolution and her father's execution. Her mother took her Kyonin but it was a hard place for a half elven child. Maleficent grew bitter and vowed to be restored to her rightful place. She is a master manipulator and has been eyeing the River Kingdoms as a place to begin rebuilding her power. Seizing control of several goblin tribes, she is preparing to launch a major strike at one of the more unstable of the River Kingdoms.
