PERSONALITY
To most, Gaza is a grizzled old coot, but his family and close friends know better.

BACKGROUND
Gaza is an old farmer.  In his time, he's answered the call-to-arms to defend against goblins, orcs, and lawless humans.  He's a veteran of countless tavern brawls, and at the ripe age of sixty-seven, commands a seat on the council of elders (though he spends most of his time on his farm or in the tavern).  He's known as a gruff-but-fair old man that holds little truck with thieves and outlaws, but is also known to bend certain rules and outright break others if the cause is righteous enough.  He would go to any lengths to protect his family, and his entire world revolves around his granddaughter Meril.
