The town fell silent, the plant life wilted and shriveled. The Sky darkened, the air chilled and villed with moans from the temple's graveyard. The town was not prepared. Everyone was enjoying the Mid-Summer festival. There he stood, cloaked in the Abyss, his coat of skin open revealing a scared and skeletal body. the dead white flesh reflected the night's fires. The corpses walking behind him had a hungry gleem in their eyes. Vlorak had found a remote village, a small community of fire mages. Their rare magics could be of great us to him. The elder of the village stepped forward, shaking. "What is it you want?" As much as he tried, his voice studdered and shook. Vlorak grinned, slowly survaying the people and the village. At last his gaze fell upon the elder. His cold harsh voice resounded clearly that all could hear. "You."

Vlorak is a commander of the undead. Before combat, Vlorak ensures the area is favorable for his children (his undead) and animates any accessable bodies as quickly as he can. During combat, Vlorak enacts as a warlord over his undead minions bulstering them and using his divine magic to slay and harm from behind. His favorite tactic is inflict mass spells, as they heal his minions and harm his foes! Vlorak fights past death.

Standing 6 feet tall, skeletal thin, pale, and looking partially undead already, Vlorak is a human with bone bleached skin, hair, and eyes cold as dead blue eyes. His fingertips and nails are stained with grave dirt, his clothing dirty, musty, and smelling of the grave. His crazed grin and vacant stare reveal a hunger for something unattainable to most. The overwhelming rush of evil emmitting from him sets any do-gooder at odds with his presence. Scars and marks of self mutilation, recent and faded memories of the past, covor the left side of his body, to include his very obviously dead and almost skeletal left hand. The flesh barely hanging onto the bones, the skin torn and sundered across the palm and knuckles.
"Are you living? Come, forsake that family. Join my family, and you will have a place with us forever!" ~Vlorak. The Abyss, the undead, and death are the only things Vlorak trusts and believes in. The living will only betray you. The undead he creates he sees as his family.
Once a great and kind child, Vlorak grew up enjoying the life provided by his mother and father. Clerics of Sarenrae, his parents often risked their lives to heal the warriors defending the great city of Vigil. After his father died, Sarenrae granted him a new form of service. Vlorak's father soon returned as a celestial of Sarenrae, and continued to love his mother. Soon after they gave birth to a young Aasimar and named him Helios. The power of the birth was too great for his aged mother, and she died. Sarenrae granted her celestial standing as well in reward.
With both his parents now celestial, and his Aasimar younger brother, it was soon obvious he was never going to be as holy as the rest of his family. The death of his mother greatly intrigued him though. The bodies of his parents became his first experimentation with necromancy. He recreated his family from the corpses of his parents. His family and Sarenrae cursed him for such arrogance and betrayal to the Goddess' teachings! Banished from his home, Vlorak grew angrier and angrier each passing day. With his undead parents that loved him unwaiveringly, he traveled to Cheilax in hopes of a new start. Forsaking the Gods, Vlorak traveled from graveyard to graveyard studying the Abyss and learning its ways.
Now tainted by the Abyss and the Negative Plane, this insane Necromancer continues to wonder, seeking to increase his family, and destroy the family (or the living) of his forsaken past!
Author's Note: If wanted, the Lich template can also be added to this NPC for a little bit more of a challenge or simply for the taste of advancing his personality and goals.
Thanks to Tahsin, and his great vision of Vlorak in a graveyard! He added flavor text about a completely random necromancer to my magical item submission "Bracer of the Humonculus", it inspired me to actually create him. I probably should never throw this guy against my players. Please, have fun with this guy!
